Do You enjoy sharing your knowledge of trapping with others? If so, This opportunity may be of interest to you. the NH Fish and Game Department is recruiting Trapper Education Instructors. The process for becoming an instructor is easy; the yearly commitment is minimal, as low as a few hours a year, but the results are gratifying. with your help, new trappers and the general public will understand why trapping is used today as a wildlife management tool and the many benefits it provides to the public and wildlife. Trapper Education in New Hampshire is taught by volunteer instructors. These instructors have a passion for promoting safe, responsible, and ethical trapping practices. We are recruiting new instructors because the demand for classes is on the rise. so please consider passing on your knowledge, expertise, and passion for trapping activities and join the ranks. Trapper Education teaches participants how to responsibly trap fur bearing animals. The Trapper Education Course is also required to become a licensed Wildlife Control Officer. Topics in the 8- to 12-hour course include proper trapping equipment and use, responsible trap-setting, the importance of good wildlife management practices, and habits and traits of furbearers. Taught in a classroom as well as outside. Students must pass the written exam with a score of 70% or higher.
